God
has given Christian parents a responsibility to nurture their children in
faith. That's why it is important to have a plan for the education of each
child in God's covenant family. NCF uses the PCA's Sunday School curriculum
called "SHOW ME JESUS". The subject of Scripture is God's unfolding
story of salvation, and Jesus is its focus. We show how Jesus Christ, reflected
on every page of the Bible, came to seek and save the lost.
New City Fellowship's Children's Ministry has a vision to help kids become part of the church body, learn about Jesus and His Good News of salvation, practice reconciliation in kids' words, and serve others at home and abroad.
We strive for these goals in any kid-related activity whether it be on Sunday mornings or some other time during the week. Older kids can be involved as Jr. Leaders in Worship Services and KIDS TIME. We have a culturally diverse congregation and that means kids too. There are plenty of opportunities for kids to be reconciled to each other and God. We encourage kids to serve others at home through our monthly Work Days and abroad through our yearly Missions-POSSIBLE opportunities.
So, if you want your kids to experience all of God's goodness on a Sunday
morning in a body of sinful believers, join us at New City Fellowship.
Mission Statement
Children’s Ministry at NCF wants to help kids know Jesus and then help them reflect Him in everything they do. Kids will learn about Jesus’ life by looking into the Bible, they will hear the Good News of Salvation, practice reconciliation in kid’s terms, have opportunities to reach out and touch the lives of other people at home and abroad, and become part of the Church Body. We are also committed to helping parents build strong roots of faith in their children. As kids learn about Jesus they discover how much He loves them.

Kids Bible Clubs
These are NCF’s summer outreach program to neighborhoods. Typically we have about 6 weeks of summer teams and are able to offer 15-20 Kids Bible Clubs reaching about 1000 kids. The program is run in conjunction with the City Lights ministry, involving hundreds of college students throughout the summer. The Clubs are offered in various front or back yards, as well as in public parks in the neighborhood.
How You Can Help
There are some different ways to be involved with Children's Ministry here
at New City Fellowship. Our needs range from teaching and helping positions,
to writing cards to visiting families, to organizing supplies, to donating
materials like crayons and glue sticks. If the Lord is calling you to work
with children, then trust that He has already equipped you to do so and that
all you need to do is to step out in faith.

Nursery News/Needs
The New City Fellowship Nursery Department begins the process of teaching God's love to the wee ones among us. Committed staff and volunteers provide just the right environment for a safe, clean, nurturing, and stimulating experience for babies birth through age 2. There is a PICK-UP tag system in place which provides an additional level of security for these non-talkers. Rooms are stocked with supplies and toys are cleaned monthly to help meet safety standards. Nursery care is provided during the worship service. Watch for Nursery News/Needs in the bulletin.
